The forest property consists of 24.48 ha, species include Picea sitchensis {SS), Larix kaempferi (JL), Alnus glutinosa (Alder) and Fraxinus excelsior (Ash). This forest was established via the afforestation grant system. The forest has plenty of boundary hedgerows/Riparian zones/scrub/management roads to enhance the biodiversity value of the forest. It is located in the townland of Ardaprior approximately 4 km west of the town of Buttevant in County Cork. |
