Description

The forest property consists of 77.42 ha, species include Picea sitchensis (SS) and additional broadleaves. Approximately 33 ha was planted in 2017 and approximately 43.5 ha was planted in 1990. This forest was established via the afforestation grant system. The forest has plenty of boundary hedgerows/Riparian zones/scrub/management roads to enhance the biodiversity value of the forest. A grant aided harvest road was constructed in 2017, 870m long. The balance of the area comprises an old house, yard and proposed roadway. It is located in the townland of Ballinascorney approximately 2 km southeast of the Dublin Mountain golf course, in County Dublin. |
